ATI has several job openings in electro-optical and laser research and development at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.
Specialty areas include modeling and simulation, including scene generation; laboratory experimental studies; sensor and system design and development; laboratory and field evaluations of prototype sensors and systems; and analytical studies.

- Optics and Laser Technologies
- Physics
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Science with specialty in Geometric and Visual Computing
- Mechanical Engineering with experience in thermal management and CAD
We are seeking candidates with capabilities in one or more of the following areas:
- Imaging and non-imaging visible and infrared sensors
- Visible and infrared instrumentation such as radiometers and spectrometers
- Instrumentation calibration and data reduction and analysis techniques
- Meteorology, remote sensing imaging and spectral radiometry, and infrared technologies
- Image processing
- Electro-optical and laser sensor and system design and development
- Good verbal and writing skills
- Willingness to periodically travel in support of field tests
For modeling and simulation positions:
- MatLab, C++ programming, Python, shell scripting, and CMake
- Visual Studio, Intel, GNU C++, and FORTRAN compilers
- Windows and Linux environments
- Scene generation, including light physics, propagation, surface properties, bidirectional reflection distribution function, perspective, z-buffering, texture, shadows, and meshing
